Field trials were carried out to prove the unparalleled range of the EBDHS-DD sensors, and their ability to meet the required detection criteria even when mounted at heights of 20 metres.
When a new 4-level distribution centre was constructed beside their existing DC, Intelligent Environments Ltd (CP Electronics’ NZ distributor) worked with the electrical contracting company, and with Farmers Trading Company to find solutions for complex challenges posed by the design of the new warehousing facility.
The finished project includes 80 of the high bay EBDHS dimming sensors, programmed to provide presence detection and daylight harvesting (maintained illuminance) and integrated with a comprehensive lighting control system which links the old and new distribution centres.
The Farmers Trading Company is an iconic kiwi brand. This department store chain commenced business in 1909 as a mail order company, moved into retail sales in 1920 and now employs 4000 staff in 58 stores across New Zealand.
